SCHOLAREA is an AI-powered academic platform built for university students worldwide. It combines a searchable library of past exam questions, an AI Tutor powered by Google Gemini, document translation, smart flashcards, study groups, daily quizzes, exam prediction, and a student community — all in one place. It is free to use with optional Premium features.
Click "Get Started Free" on the homepage or visit scholarea.com/pages/login.php?register=true. You can sign up with your email address or use Google Sign-In for instant access. No credit card is required for the free account.
Yes. The core platform is free forever. You get 5 AI queries per day, 5 resource downloads per day, access to the full past question library, flashcards, study groups, forums, and daily quizzes at no cost. The Genius (Premium) plan unlocks unlimited AI queries, unlimited downloads, and advanced features.
SCHOLAREA is international. We have deep content for Nigerian universities (FUD, ABU Zaria, UNILAG, and many more) and we are actively expanding to Indonesia, Ghana, Kenya, and other countries. The platform supports 20+ languages and 8 payment currencies. Even if your university is not yet in our library, you can still use the AI Tutor, flashcards, translation, quizzes, and community features.
The AI Tutor responds in any language you type in — just write your question in Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, French, Arabic, Bahasa Indonesia, or any supported language and it will reply in the same language. UI language settings are coming soon.
The AI Tutor is powered by Google Gemini 2.0 Flash. You can ask it any academic question by typing, uploading a photo of your notes or exam paper, attaching a document (PDF, Word), or recording a voice message. It explains concepts step by step, works through past questions with you, and adapts to your academic level. It is subject-aware — not a generic chatbot.
Free accounts get 5 AI queries per day. Genius (Premium) accounts get unlimited queries. A "query" is one message you send to the AI Tutor. The counter resets every day at midnight.
Yes. You can upload images of handwritten notes, photos of past exam papers, or PDF/Word documents. The AI will read the content and explain, summarise, or answer questions about it. This works on both free and Premium accounts, though file uploads count toward your daily query limit.
AI systems including Gemini can sometimes make mistakes, especially on very specific local content, recent events, or highly technical calculations. Always cross-check critical academic information against your textbook or lecturer's notes. If the AI gives consistently wrong answers on a topic, please report it using the thumbs-down button inside the AI Tutor.
SCHOLAREA AI is designed to help you understand and learn — not to do your work for you. Using AI to submit work that is not your own violates academic integrity policies at virtually every university. Use the AI Tutor to understand concepts, check your approach, and get explanations — but write your own work.
The AI Tutor supports 20+ languages including English, Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, Arabic, French, Bahasa Indonesia, Swahili, Hindi, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Turkish, Urdu, Amharic, Bengali, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and more. Just type in your language.
Go to Resources, then filter by Resource Type → "Past Questions". Use the search bar to find your course code (e.g. MTH101, ENG201) or course name. You can also filter by university, department, and year. If your course is not listed, you can upload past questions yourself and earn credits.
Click "Upload Resource" from your dashboard or the Resources page. You can upload PDF, Word, PowerPoint, or image files up to 50MB. Fill in the title, course code, university, year, and type. All uploads are reviewed before being published. Once approved, you earn credits based on the quality and usefulness of the resource.
Content is uploaded by students sharing their own study materials — past questions they collected, lecture notes they took, handouts their lecturers gave them. We review every submission before it goes live. Uploaders must confirm they have the right to share the content and that it does not violate copyright.
Yes. Free accounts can download up to 5 resources per day. Genius (Premium) accounts get unlimited downloads. The download counter resets every day at midnight.
Use the "Report" button on the resource page to flag it. Our content team reviews reports within 48 hours. If you are the uploader and want to replace it with a corrected version, contact content@scholarea.com.
Click "Forgot Password" on the login page. Enter your email address and we will send you a reset link. The link expires after 1 hour. If you signed up with Google, you cannot set a password — use Google Sign-In instead.

Yes — your AI Tutor conversation history is saved so you can reference it later. You can delete individual conversations or your entire history at any time from the AI Tutor settings. We do not use your conversations to train AI models.
We do not sell your data. We share data only with: Paystack/Stripe (payment processing), Google (if you use Google Sign-In), and our hosting provider. Full details are in our Privacy Policy. We do not share data with advertisers.
Uploaded resources are reviewed by our content team before publication. Uploaded files are stored securely. You retain ownership of content you create — by uploading, you grant SCHOLAREA a license to host and share it with other students. See our Content Policy for details.
SCHOLAREA is designed for university students (18+). If you are under 18, please have a parent or guardian review our Terms of Service before creating an account. We do not knowingly collect data from users under 13.
Use the "Report" button on any resource, post, comment, or user profile. Reports are reviewed within 48 hours. For urgent safety concerns, email founder@scholarea.com directly.
First, check your internet connection. Then try refreshing the page. If the AI says "temporarily busy" or gives blank responses, this is usually a temporary overload on the AI service — wait 30 seconds and try again. If the problem persists for more than 10 minutes, email founder@scholarea.com.
Supported formats: PDF, DOC, DOCX, PPT, PPTX, JPG, JPEG, PNG, WEBP, GIF. Maximum file size: 50MB. If your file is too large, compress it first using a free tool like ilovepdf.com (for PDFs) or compress-or-die.com (for images).
SCHOLAREA is designed to work on 3G connections. Try: turning off auto-loading of images in Chrome settings, using Wi-Fi instead of mobile data, clearing your browser cache (Chrome: Settings → Privacy → Clear browsing data), or trying a different browser (Chrome or Firefox recommended).
Try downloading again on a stable connection. If the file consistently fails, the resource may have been uploaded incorrectly — report it using the Report button. For large files (>10MB), use Wi-Fi rather than mobile data.
Make sure you are using a browser that supports Google Sign-In (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari). If you see a "redirect_uri_mismatch" error, try signing in with your email and password instead. Clear your browser cookies and try again. Still stuck? Email founder@scholarea.com.
SCHOLAREA works on Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge — both mobile and desktop versions. We recommend keeping your browser updated. Internet Explorer is not supported. Android and iOS apps are planned for a future release.
